Quik pro france prosegue in condizioni avverse. conclusi i primi due round

Surfcorner.it – Si è concluso oggi il secondo round del Quiksilver Pro France con il completamento delle rimanenti 9 heat da disputare, dopo la sospensione di ieri che aveva consentito di disputare una sola heat del secondo round, già sospeso il giorno precedente.
Condizioni altalentanti e venti off shore hanno costretto gli organizzatori a spostare il campo gara a Capbreton nello spot di Santosha dove è stato possibile completare il secondo round.
Le prime sei heat erano state disputate domenica a La Graviere, mentre ieri solo la settima heat si era svolta prima che il vento on shore rovinasse le condizioni perfette del primo mattino.
Le swell è prevista in aumento ma i venti non sono favorevoli, la carte indicano venti on shore per i prossimi giorni, pertanto gli organizzatori sono pronti a spostare il campo gara nuovamente al fine di terminare l’evento entro il waiting period previsto.
Intanto i top 5 del ranking sono avanzati al terzo round, ma Taj Burrow, Andy Irons e Joel Parkinson hanno dovuto accedervi passando dal secondo round, dopo aver perso le rispettive heat del primo.
Per Slater e Fanning invece è stato meno stressante, avendo vinto subito la prima heat, anche se Slater ha dovuto faticare contro Aritz Aranburu, che ha piazzato dei punteggi molto alti costringendolo a fare un 9,43 per garantirsi la vittoria della heat.
Fanning in forma strepitosa ha chiuso quasi subito la partita con un 10.0 e un 9.43 ed il punteggio più alto del contest: 19.43 su 20.00, continuando poi a surfare come un forsennato fino alla fine della heat.
Emozionante la heat di Durbidge contro Occy, il quale, dopo il 10.00 dell’avversario ha realizzato a sua volta un 10.00 vincendo la heat di soli 0.17.
